Welcome to my creative world! I'm Yicheng Zhang, a passionate Chinese filmmaker currently based in the vibrant state of Georgia, USA. With over 8 years of experience as a creative cinematographer, I bring stories to life through the lens, weaving narratives that captivate and inspire.

My journey in the world of filmmaking has been nothing short of extraordinary. Having earned the prestigious New York Cinematography AWARDS (NYCA) and securing the Best Cinematography award at the 2021 Indie Short Film Festival, I've been fortunate to see my dedication to storytelling recognized on both local and global stages.

Before embarking on my MFA journey at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), I spent 3 impactful years as a formal director assistant and script supervisor on TV series within the dynamic landscape of the Chinese film industry. This hands-on experience equipped me with a holistic understanding of the filmmaking process, from pre-production intricacies to the final touches of post-production.

Graduating from SCAD in 2021 further fueled my commitment to artistic growth and excellence. The academic environment provided a fertile ground for refining my skills and embracing new perspectives, setting the stage for the next chapter of my cinematic journey.
